The Zonta Club of Johnson County will be hosting its third annual Zonta Zoom Race to End Violence Against Women on Saturday, April 28, 2018.  This 5K and 1K Fun Run is held to raise awareness for the staggering statistics concerning domestic violence. This year, our event is being presented by P&P Plumbing.

The Zonta International President, Sonja Honig Schrough said it best: “Violence against women is a worldwide pandemic – it crosses every social and economic class, every religion, race and ethnicity. At least one out of every three women worldwide have experienced violence during their lifetime. We in Zonta International cannot accept this – we need to use all our energy to eradicate violence against women locally and internationally through service and advocacy.”

A portion of the proceeds benefit the Family Crisis Center of Johnson County. Please check out the “Zonta Zoom” page on this website for more information. We look forward to seeing you as we work toward our mission of ending violence against women!
